BACKROUND INFORMATION.
I was born in Moi's Bridge, Uasin-Gishu District in Rift-Valley Province
of Kenya. I am the third born of the family of (five) two brothers and two
sisters. My parents are peasant farmers and therefore, we had to work hard to
help them raise some money to meet basic and secondary needs of the
family. We have been practising farming and came to discover that the job
pays. Personally I found that farming is deep within me and I have to work
hard to fulfil my dream of being a dynamic farmer to meet the future,
though space and input are the major hindrances that stops me from
fulfilling my dream of setting up my own family farm.

RECENT:
Currently I am working at a Petrol Station as a pump attendant and the family depends on me as the bread winner from the little income I earn
from the Station. Even though I have lease one acre of land for the next
season and hope to achieve more if given a little support. I intend to lease
3 acres of land. Costs are specified below.

BUDGET:
Leasing of land 3 acres = 5000sh by 3 acres = 15,000ksh
Cultivating Cost = 3000ksh by 3 acres = 9,000ksh
Fertilizers = 5000ksh by 3 acres = 15,000ksh
Planting Cost = 1000ksh by 3 acres = 3000ksh
Weeding Cost = Aprox 3000ksh = 3000ksh
Staking Cost = Aprox 600ksh by 3acres = 2000ksh
Harvesting Cost = Aprox 6000ksh = 6000ksh
Shelling Cost = Aprox 6000ksh = 6000ksh

TOTAL = 58,000ksh approximately 600 euro

Plan: My idea would be to make profit after the harvest of next season to enable me to buy all materials for planting and harvesting in years to come and buy small pieces of land every year to create my own farm.
